EXPLORE, PLAY AND LEARN IN THE OUTDOORS

Woodland Adventure Club sessions are run along Forest school principles. We offer a variety of activities and the play is child led. Activities may include nature crafts, using tools, playing with water, mud, leaves, exploring, playing games, climbing trees, lighting fires, helping with cooking. The sessions are suitable for unaccompanied children aged from 5 years to 13 years.

The sessions will take place every Thursday from 4pm to 6pm, in almost all weathers (we may need to cancel in high winds), so please dress accordingly. Layers are helpful. Also many people find that they stay warmer if the base layer next to the skin is not cotton.

The sessions are held at a private woodland near St. Keverne.

Why choose us?

Qualified and experienced staff

All of our staff are qualified forest school leaders with many years of experience leading learning in the outdoors. In addition, our lead practitioner is a qualified primary school teacher with over 17 years experience. All staff undertake regular first aid and safeguarding courses.

Exceptional Value

We operate as a social enterprise. This means that some of our other activities help to finance Saplings and WAC to help to make it affordable for local people.

Fantastic Locations

WAC is based in an area of private woodland near St.Keverne. In the very tricky months of winter, we may swap locations to one of our local beaches.

Your children get to play and learn within the Lizard AONB.

Something for Everyone

All of our Woodland Adventure Club sessions are child led. This allows us to follow the preferences of each individual. We offer craft activities, cooking, tool use, group games, nature learning, climbing, and lots more.
