HELPING YOUR LITTLE ONES TO GROW AND LEARN IN THE OUTDOORS

Saplings sessions are run along Forest school principles. We offer a variety of activities and the play is child led. Activities may include nature crafts, using tools, playing with water, mud, leaves, exploring, playing games, lighting fires, helping with cooking. The sessions are suitable for children aged from birth to 5 years accompanied by an adult.

Qualified and experienced staff

All of our staff are qualified forest school leaders with many years of experience leading early years learning in the outdoors. In addition, our lead practitioner is a qualified primary school teacher with over 17 years experience. All staff undertake regular first aid and safeguarding courses.

Fantastic Locations

Saplings is based in an area of private woodland near St.Keverne. In the very tricky months of winter, we may swap locations to one of our local beaches.

Your children get to play and learn within the Lizard AONB.

Something for Everyone

We always try to offer a nature based craft activity for the adults to try alongside their little people. Enjoy a chat with other parents and carers while our staff keep a watchful eye on your children.

The sessions are held at a private woodland near St. Keverne and will take place every Thursday from 10 am to 12 ish, in almost all weathers (we may need to cancel in high winds), so please dress accordingly. To help keep little ones warm, layers is helpful. Also many people find that they stay warmer if the base layer next to the skin is not cotton.
